Our Mission

MAKING DISCIPLES WHO BRING BELONGING AND HOPE TO OAK CLIFF.

Grace

We are a community founded in the grace of Jesus Christ. Oak Cliff Community Church is a place of rest, not burden, where people find grace, and where we extend that same grace to those wounded or worn out.

Belonging

We are friends across difference. We build genuine relationships that cross lines of culture, language, and class, so that belonging here isn't belonging among people like us, but belonging to one another.

Justice

We stand with our neighbors. We are committed to the protection, dignity, and flourishing of everyone in Oak Cliff: walking alongside our immigrant neighbors as family, and staying present to those under the pressure of displacement.

Our Beliefs

Baptist in conviction, creedal in faith, generous on the rest. We hold firm to the historic Christian faith and Baptist freedoms, and we make room for honest questions on everything else.

This is the foundation we build on, and we don’t move off it. But a firm foundation leaves room for a big table, so wherever you are in your faith, you’re welcome to wrestle with us.

Oak Cliff Neighborhood Church holds to the historic Christian creeds and the Baptist Faith and Message (1963) as clear summaries of our faith and doctrine. The creeds (Apostles’ and Nicene) affirm the core truths of the Trinity, the person and work of Christ, and the foundation of the church. The Baptist Faith and Message (1963) articulates our Baptist convictions on Scripture, salvation, the church, baptism, and religious liberty. Together these documents guide our teaching, worship, and mission. Follow the links below to read the full statements.

Trevor and Siera Jamieson

We are Trevor and Siera Jamieson. We have two sweet daughters: Elly (5) and Gail (3). We have called Oak Cliff, Dallas our home since late 2017 when we moved here to be close to our family. We faithfully served in non-profits, started ministries, and served as a pastor in an Oak Cliff church during this time until we felt the call to start a church further south in Oak Cliff.

Siera and I met serving at the same homeless shelter in Chicago where we attended Moody Bible Institute. Our love for each other has been deeply formed by our mutual love for the inner city, fighting the injustice of poverty, and being the light of Christ to post-Christian contexts. Siera is profoundly gifted in nonprofit work and her compassion for those she served on skid row in Los Angeles and the impoverished in Dallas. Together we have also found our mutual calling for starting fresh ministry endeavors to reach our neighbors such as: the Oak Cliff Justice Coalition, the Oak Cliff Neighborhood Network, the 10th Street Gallery, and the Roberts Studio.

Arnulfo and Ana Garza

Five years ago, God led Ana and Arnulfo to Oak Cliff, where we began building our lives and serving our community.

Together, they founded C3 Latino Young Professionals to invest in the next generation of Latino leaders through leadership development and community engagement. As they served alongside Trevor and Siera, we sensed God calling them to join them in planting a new church. Since then, we have launched a men's Bible study and are grateful for the opportunity to help build a gospel-centered church that faithfully loves God, serves its neighbors, and reflects the diversity of the Oak Cliff community.
